Upon completion of the course in 13 sessions, students should be able to understand, recognize, analyze and interpret movements, tendencies, characteristics, theatre writers and plays of the European theatre of the 17^th and 18^th centuries, in relation to thematic, rhetorical style and scenic representation, and to their historical, political, social and cultural background.
